The Journey to Christmas: Introduction (Pt. 1)

I decided I want to try something new. Over the years, I have noticed that I often neglect the true spiritual impact of Christmas. I get wrapped up in the presents, being with friends and family, enjoying the cold weather, and all the rest that I too often end the Christmas season in regret. In an effort to not let that happen again this year, I decided to create for myself a journey into the events leading up to Christ's coming. Every three days I will be posting a short devotional on a passage in Scripture that shares with us God's heart and the events leading up to the coming of our King.

I figure that I am probably not alone in this and I want to invite each of you to also be a part of it. Every three days I will post a new devo that is quick and easy to read. The post will also include study questions that we can discuss through the comments feature. My goal is that as an online community we can dig deeper into the meaning of Christmas and God's gift of his son.

I hope this is something that will enrich Christmas for you this year. I look forward to seeing where God takes us!
